This pretty peninsular town is situated on Lake Champlain in the Missisquoi Bay. Residents enjoy lake sunsets and Adirondack Mountain views, as well as beach access and space for horse pasturages and open farms. Alburg is one of the last affordable places to live in Vermont, in part because of its more remote, rural location. Take Interstate 89 to the bridge to Alburg from Swanton or drive up Route 2 through beautiful Grand Isle. With plenty of preserved acreage, Alburg is a perfect setting for large family estates, summer camps, vacation homes, or a second home. A few residences here even have their own airstrip!
