Historically, the rolling hills and green pastures of Cornwall have been home to dozens of working Vermont farms. Extensive pastures and orchards are set against the dramatic backdrop of the Green Mountains. You'll find superb hiking and cross-country skiing here, as well as many historic sites dating from the American Revolutionary war. Located just 5 miles southwest of Middlebury, the county seat and cultural center, Cornwall provides residents with the with easy city access. The town is home to one of Vermont's few remaining historic covered bridges, the Station (or Salisbury Station), built in 1856.
