The tiny township of Lincoln is steeped in classic Vermont charm, offering breathtaking views of Mount Abraham to the east, the Adirondacks and Bristol Cliffs to the west, and Breadloaf Wilderness to the south. Vermont's famous Long Trail runs through Lincoln, crossing the main ridgeline of the Breadloaf Wilderness from Middlebury Gap to Lincoln Gap. The New Haven River rushes north through the villages of South Lincoln, Lincoln Center, and West Lincoln to Otter Creek, affording plenty of opportunity for fishing and sport. Locals still shop at the Lincoln General Store. Craft enthusiasts will enjoy a stop at the Lincoln Pottery studio, owned and operated by two independent Vermont potters.
